- 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup (100g) brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup (40g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup (125g) creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup (90g) chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it out evenly.
- Dollop spoonfuls of peanut butter on top of the brownie layer, then swirl it gently with a knife.
- Pour the remaining brownie batter over the peanut butter layer and smooth it out.
- If using, sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the brownies to cool in the pan before slicing into squares and serving.
Notes
- For extra peanut butter flavor, consider adding chopped peanuts or a peanut butter drizzle on top.
