Ingredients

  • 2 ripe peaches, pitted and sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, plus more for garnish
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 4 cups sparkling water
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon slices, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine the sliced peaches, basil leaves, and sugar. Blend until smooth.
  2. Strain the peach-basil mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher to remove any solids.
  3. Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice to the pitcher and stir to combine.
  4. Just before serving, pour in the sparkling water and gently stir to combine.
  5. Serve over ice cubes, garnished with additional basil leaves and lemon slices.

Notes

  • For a sweeter drink, adjust the sugar to taste.
  • You can also use frozen peaches if fresh ones are not available. Just thaw them before blending.
  • This drink can be made a few hours ahead of time, but add the sparkling water just before serving to keep it fizzy.
