- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko recommended)
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- Cooking spray or olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, mix together the Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs.
- Dip each chicken breast into the eggs, allowing any excess to drip off, then coat in the Parmesan mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or brush with olive oil to prevent sticking.
- Place the coated chicken breasts in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they don’t touch.
- Lightly spray the tops of the chicken with cooking spray or drizzle with olive oil.
- Cook for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is cooked through and the coating is golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the air fryer and let rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in Italian dressing for 30 minutes before coating.
- You can use any type of breadcrumbs; panko gives the crispiest texture.
- Feel free to add your favorite herbs and spices to the breadcrumb mixture for added flavor.
