Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken tenders
  • 1 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs.
  4. In another shallow bowl, add the panko bread crumbs.
  5. Dip each chicken tender first into the flour mixture, then into the beaten eggs, and finally coat with panko bread crumbs, pressing lightly to adhere.
  6. Place the coated chicken tenders in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Make sure they are not overcrowded.
  7. Spray the tops lightly with cooking spray.
  8. Air fry for 10 minutes, then flip the tenders and spray again with cooking spray.
  9. Continue to air fry for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F/74°C).
  10. Remove from air fryer and let rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can marinate the chicken tenders in buttermilk for a few hours before breading.
  • Feel free to add your favorite spices to the panko breading for a twist.
