Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until well combined.
  2. Add the cubed bread to the egg mixture and gently fold until all the bread is coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
  3. The next morning, preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  4. Pour the soaked bread mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  5. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the custard is set.
