- 1 loaf of brioche or challah bread, cubed
- 8 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

- Pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup maple syrup (for serving)
- Powdered sugar (for serving)

Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until well combined.
- Add the cubed bread to the egg mixture and gently fold until all the bread is coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
- The next morning, preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Pour the soaked bread mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the custard is set.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Drizzle with maple syrup, dust with powdered sugar, and top with fresh berries.
