- 1 cup orange juice
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup jasmine rice
- 2 cups water
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
- Cook jasmine rice by boiling 2 cups of water, adding rice, reducing heat, and simmering for 15 minutes.
- Cut chicken into strips and coat with cornstarch and black pepper.
- Heat oil in a pan and cook chicken until golden and crispy, about 5-6 minutes per side.
- In a separate pan, mix orange juice, soy sauce, honey, ginger, and garlic. Simmer for 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Toss crispy chicken in the orange sauce until fully coated.
- Serve chicken over jasmine rice and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, double-coat the chicken in cornstarch.
- Adjust honey for sweetness preference.
- Garnish with chopped green onions if desired.
