Description

A simple and flavorful one-pot dish with tender chicken, creamy tomato sauce, and fresh basil.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Season chicken with salt and pepper, then cook until browned (5-6 minutes per side).
  3. Remove chicken and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, sauté onion and garlic until softened (3-4 minutes).
  5. Add diced tomatoes, oregano, and simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and return chicken to the skillet.
  7. Cook for another 5-7 minutes until chicken is fully cooked.
  8. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
  • Add red pepper flakes for extra heat.
