- 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce
- 1 pound pizza dough
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced steak and season with garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into a rectangle.
- Spread marinara sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce, then top with the cooked steak.
- Fold the dough over the filling, sealing the edges by pressing firmly.
- Brush the top of the stromboli with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Place the stromboli on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let it cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- You can substitute flank steak with ribeye or sirloin for a different flavor.
- Add sautéed onions and bell peppers for extra flavor and texture.
- Serve with extra marinara sauce for dipping.
