- 6 large eggs
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Food coloring
- Olives, capers, or cherry tomatoes for garnish
Instructions
- Boil the eggs in a pot of water for about 10 minutes.
- Remove the eggs from the boiling water and place them in an ice bath to cool.
- Once cooled, peel the eggs carefully.
- Cut the eggs in half lengthwise and remove the yolks.
- In a bowl, mash the yolks and mix in mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper.
- If desired, add food coloring to the yolk mixture for a spookier look.
- Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg whites.
- Garnish each egg with an olive, caper, or cherry tomato to create the ‘eyeball’ effect.
- Serve immediately or chill until ready to serve.
