Quick and easy cinnamon rolls made with sourdough discard.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sourdough discard
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon for filling
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar for icing
- 2 tablespoons milk for icing
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and cinnamon.
- Add sourdough discard, milk, melted butter, and egg. Mix until combined.
- Roll dough into a rectangle on a floured surface.
- Spread brown sugar and cinnamon over the dough.
- Roll the dough tightly and cut into slices.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.
- Mix powdered sugar and milk to make icing.
- Drizzle icing over warm rolls before serving.
Notes
- Use room temperature ingredients for best results.
- Feel free to add nuts or raisins to the filling.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
