Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sourdough discard
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon for filling
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar for icing
  • 2 tablespoons milk for icing

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. Add sourdough discard, milk, melted butter, and egg. Mix until combined.
  4. Roll dough into a rectangle on a floured surface.
  5. Spread brown sugar and cinnamon over the dough.
  6. Roll the dough tightly and cut into slices.
  7. Place rolls in a greased baking dish.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.
  9. Mix powdered sugar and milk to make icing.
  10. Drizzle icing over warm rolls before serving.
