Instructions

- Gradually add sugar, one tablespoon at a time, while beating until stiff peaks form.
- Mix in vanilla extract.
- Spoon or pipe meringue onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 1.5 hours or until dry and crisp.
- Turn off the oven and let meringues cool inside for an hour.
