  • 4 chicken thighs, skin-on and bone-in
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix together olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Rub the spice mixture all over the chicken thighs.
  4. Place the chicken on the grill skin-side down and cook for 5-7 minutes, until the skin is crispy.
  5. Flip the chicken and brush with barbecue sauce. Cook for another 5-7 minutes.
  6. Continue to flip every few minutes, basting with more barbecue sauce, until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (about 20-25 minutes total).
  7. Remove from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
