Description

These grilled BBQ chicken skewers are perfect for your Memorial Day party! They’re easy to make, full of flavor, and a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 810 skewers (soaked in water if wooden)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the BBQ sauce, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Add the chicken cubes to the marinade and toss to coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated chicken onto the skewers.
  5. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
  6. Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Serve with extra BBQ sauce for dipping.
  • Add some bell peppers and onions to the skewers for extra flavor and color.
  • These can be made ahead of time and reheated on the grill or in the oven.
