- 12 oz fettuccine pasta
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted.
- Add cooked pasta and shrimp back to the skillet. Toss to coat evenly.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
