Ingredients

  • 1 cup Fresh lemons
  • 3/4 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon zest
  • a pinch Salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine water and sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar has dissolved completely.
  2. Remove from heat and let the syrup cool to room temperature.
  3. Add the lemon juice, lemon zest, and a pinch of salt to the cooled syrup. Mix well.
  4. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
  5. Transfer the sorbet to a lidded container and freeze for at least 4 hours, or until firm.
