Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the flour and salt, and mix until combined.
  4. Press the dough into the bottom of the prepared baking dish, creating an even layer.
  5. Bake the crust for 15-20 minutes, or until lightly golden.
  6. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, granulated sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest until smooth.
  7. Pour the lemon mixture over the baked crust and return to the oven.
  8. Bake for an additional 20-25 minutes, or until the filling is set and slightly firm to the touch.
  9. Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
  10. Once cooled, dust with powdered sugar and cut into squares.

Notes
