Description
Refreshingly floral and citrusy, this Lavender Lemonade with Fresh Mint is the perfect drink to cool down on a warm day. Made with fresh ingredients, it’s a delightful twist on a classic beverage.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 cups water
- 2 tablespoons dried culinary lavender
- 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves, plus more for garnish
- Ice cubes
- Lemon slices for garnish
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and the sugar over medium heat. Stir until the sugar is dissolved completely.
- Add the dried lavender and fresh mint leaves to the saucepan. Remove from heat and let it steep for about 15-20 minutes.
- Strain the lavender-mint syrup through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher to remove the solids.
- Add the fresh lemon juice and the remaining 3 cups of cold water to the pitcher. Stir well to combine.
- Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary by adding more sugar or water.
- Serve over ice cubes and garnish with fresh mint leaves and lemon slices.
Notes
- For a stronger lavender flavor, let the syrup steep longer.
- You can also serve this drink sparkling by replacing some of the water with club soda.
- Store any leftover Lavender Lemonade in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
