Ingredients

  • 500g lamb, cubed
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1-inch ginger, grated
  • 2 tomatoes, pureed
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and sauté onions until golden.
  2. Add garlic and ginger, cook for 1 minute.
  3. Add lamb cubes and brown on all sides.
  4. Stir in tomato puree and cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Add coriander, cumin, turmeric, chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
  6. Pour in 1 cup of water, cover, and simmer for 40 minutes or until lamb is tender.
  7. Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with fresh coriander.
  8. Serve hot with rice or naan.
