Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup (50g) brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Drain excess fat from the skillet, if necessary.
  3. Add soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, ground ginger, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir to combine.
  4. Cook for an additional 3-5 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in sliced green onions.
  6. Serve the Korean ground beef over cooked rice or in lettuce wraps, garnished with sesame seeds.
