- 1 lb (450g) ground beef
- 1/4 cup (60ml) soy sauce
- 1/4 cup (50g) brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes.
- Drain excess fat from the skillet, if necessary.
- Add soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, ground ginger, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir to combine.
- Cook for an additional 3-5 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
- Remove from heat and stir in sliced green onions.
- Serve the Korean ground beef over cooked rice or in lettuce wraps, garnished with sesame seeds.
