- 1 1/2 cups Graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup Granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup Unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup Key lime juice
- 1 can (14 ounces) Sweetened condensed milk
- 4 large Egg yolks
- 1 tablespoon Lime zest
- for serving Whipped cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well combined.
- Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish to form the crust.
- Bake the crust for 8 minutes, then remove from the oven and let it cool.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the key lime juice, sweetened condensed milk, egg yolks, and lime zest until smooth.
- Pour the filling into the cooled crust and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
- Top with whipped cream before serving.
Notes
- Use fresh key limes for the best flavor, but regular limes can be substituted if necessary.
- Make sure to chill the pie thoroughly for the best texture.
