A classic Key Lime Pie with a creamy, tart filling and a buttery graham cracker crust.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups Graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/3 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 large Egg yolks
  • 1 can (14 oz) Sweetened condensed milk
  • 3/4 cup Key lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon Lime zest
  • for topping Whipped cream
  • for garnish Lime slices

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well combined.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie pan to form the crust.
  4. Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes until golden brown. Remove and let cool.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together egg yolks, sweetened condensed milk, key lime juice, and lime zest until smooth.
  6. Pour the filling into the cooled crust and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for an additional 15 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool to room temperature.
  8. Chill the pie in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours before serving.
  9. Top with whipped cream and garnish with lime slices before serving.
