Description

This recipe creates tender and juicy chicken breasts using an instant pot.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken breasts
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Turn on the instant pot and select the sauté function.
  3. Add olive oil to the pot and heat it.
  4. Brown the chicken breasts on both sides, about 2-3 minutes each.
  5. Remove the chicken and set aside.
  6. Add chicken broth to the pot and scrape the bottom to deglaze.
  7. Place the chicken back in the pot.
  8. Seal the instant pot and cook on high pressure for 10 minutes.
  9. Allow natural release for 5 minutes, then quick release remaining pressure.
  10. Remove the chicken and let it rest before slicing.

  • For added flavor, marinate chicken before cooking.
