Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together warm milk, melted butter, and egg.
- Add the milk mixture to the dry ingredients and mix until combined.
- Gradually add the remaining flour until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 10 minutes.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
- Spread softened butter over the dough, then sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon evenly on top.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into equal pieces.
- Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for another 15 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake the rolls for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- While baking, mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla in a bowl for the icing.
- Drizzle icing over warm cinnamon rolls before serving.
