Ingredients

  • 500g beef, cubed
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 2 potatoes, diced
  • 1 cup green beans, chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 bay leaf

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add beef cubes and brown them on all sides.
  3. Add onions and garlic, sauté until fragrant.
  4. Stir in carrots, celery, and potatoes.
  5. Pour in beef broth and add bay leaf.
  6. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 45 minutes.
  7. Add green beans and cook for another 15 minutes.
  8. Season with salt and pepper.
  9. Remove bay leaf before serving.

Notes

  • You can replace beef with chicken for a lighter version.
  • For extra flavor, add a dash of Worcestershire sauce.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
