Hearty 500g Beef Soup That Warms Your Soul

Description

A hearty beef soup made with tender beef, vegetables, and rich broth.


Ingredients

  • 500g beef, cubed
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1L beef broth
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add beef cubes and brown on all sides. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pot, sauté onion, carrots, celery, and garlic until softened.
  4. Return beef to the pot and add beef broth and bay leaf.
  5. Simmer for 1 hour or until beef is tender.
  6. Season with salt and pepper before serving.

Notes

  • For a thicker soup, add 1 tbsp flour while sautéing vegetables.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
