Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Add melted coconut oil to the bananas and mix well.
  4. Stir in honey or maple syrup, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  5. In another bowl, combine baking soda, salt, and whole wheat flour.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  7. If using, fold in chopped walnuts.
  8. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
  9. Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let cool before slicing.
