- 2 cups whole grain flour
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup applesauce
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda

- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole grain flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, mix the pumpkin puree, sugar, applesauce, milk, and eggs until well combined.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing just until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Line a muffin tin with paper liners or grease it with cooking spray.
- Spoon the batter into the muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
- Sprinkle the tops with additional chocolate chips and sprinkles if desired.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the muffins to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Decorate the muffins to look like spooky monsters or pumpkins if desired.
