- 3 ripe avocados
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 roma tomatoes, diced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)
- 1 jalapeño, seeded and minced (optional)
Instructions
- Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.
- Mash the avocados with a fork until smooth or to your desired texture.
- Add lime juice, onion, tomatoes, garlic, salt, and black pepper to the bowl.
- Stir gently to combine all the ingredients evenly.
- If using, fold in cilantro and jalapeño for added flavor.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
- Serve immediately with tortilla chips or as a topping for your favorite dishes.
Notes
- To keep guacamole from browning, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface before refrigerating.
- You can customize this recipe by adding other ingredients like diced mango or pomegranate seeds for a twist.
