A delicious and hearty ground lamb gyro bowl topped with fresh vegetables and a tangy yogurt sauce.

- 1 lb ground lamb
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups cooked rice or quinoa
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cucumber, diced
- 1 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
- Pita bread, for serving (optional)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground lamb and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until spices are well combined.
- In a small bowl, mix together Greek yogurt, lemon juice, dill, and a pinch of salt. Set aside.
- To assemble the bowls, divide cooked rice or quinoa among serving bowls. Top with ground lamb, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, and feta cheese.
- Drizzle the yogurt sauce over each bowl and serve with pita bread if desired.
Notes
- Feel free to customize your gyro bowl with your favorite toppings, such as olives or avocado.
- For a spicy kick, add some red pepper flakes to the ground lamb mixture.
