- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)
Instructions
- Remove the steak from the fridge 30 minutes before cooking to bring it to room temperature.
- Preheat your grill to high heat (450°F-500°F).
- Pat the steak dry with paper towels and rub with olive oil.
- Season both sides generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder (if using).
- Place the steak on the hot grill and cook for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare (internal temp 130°F).
- Use tongs to flip the steak only once.
- Remove from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

- For medium doneness, cook to 140°F internal temperature.
- Letting the steak rest ensures juiciness.
