  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cucumber, grated and drained
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced (for sauce)
  • Salt to taste (for sauce)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, red onion, garlic, egg, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  2. Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1-inch in diameter.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the meatballs for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through.
  4. For the tzatziki sauce, mix Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, lemon juice, dill, garlic, and salt in a bowl. Stir well.
  5. Serve the meatballs warm with the tzatziki sauce on the side.

Notes

  • For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free breadcrumbs.
  • You can bake the meatballs at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes instead of frying.
