- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into cubes
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 4 large whole wheat or Greek pitas
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cucumber, grated and drained
- 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
- 1 small red onion, sliced
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix chicken, olive oil, garlic, oregano, paprika, salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Marinate for 20 minutes.
- Thread chicken onto skewers and grill or pan-fry until fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes per side.
- Mix Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, and dill to make tzatziki sauce.
- Warm pitas slightly for easier folding.
- Spread tzatziki on pitas, then add chicken, red onion, tomato, and lettuce.
- Fold the pitas tightly and serve immediately.
