- 500g chicken breast, sliced into strips
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 4 pita breads
- 1 large tomato, sliced
- 1 red onion, thinly sliced
- 200g French fries, cooked
- For the garlic sauce: 1/2 cup Greek yogurt, 2 minced garlic cloves, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 1 tbsp olive oil, salt to taste
Instructions
- Marinate chicken with olive oil, paprika, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Let sit for 15 minutes.
- Cook chicken in a pan over medium heat until fully done, about 8-10 minutes.
- Prepare garlic sauce by mixing yogurt, minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, and salt.
- Warm pita breads slightly.
- Fill each pita with chicken, tomato, onion, and fries. Drizzle with garlic sauce.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of fresh parsley.
- You can grill the chicken instead of pan-frying.
- If you prefer, use tzatziki sauce instead of garlic sauce.
