- 500g boneless chicken thighs, sliced into strips
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 4 pita breads
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup tzatziki sauce
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix olive oil, garlic, oregano, paprika, cumin, salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
- Add chicken strips and coat well. Marinate for 30 minutes.
- Heat a pan over medium-high heat. Cook chicken for 5-6 minutes per side until fully cooked.
- Warm pita bread in a dry pan or microwave.
- Assemble gyros by placing chicken, lettuce, tomato, and onion on pita. Drizzle with tzatziki sauce.
- Roll up and serve immediately.
