  • 500g chicken breast, sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 4 pita breads
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup sliced red onions
  • For Tzatziki: 1 cup Greek yogurt, 1/2 cucumber grated, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 1 tsp minced garlic, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tbsp chopped dill

Instructions

  1. Mix chicken with olive oil, garlic powder, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper. Marinate for 30 minutes.
  2. Cook chicken in a pan over medium heat until fully done, about 6-8 minutes.
  3. For tzatziki, combine yogurt, grated cucumber, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and dill. Stir well.
  4. Warm pita breads slightly.
  5. Assemble gyros: spread tzatziki on pita, add chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions.
  6. Fold and serve immediately.
