Juicy chicken breasts stuffed with cheese and herbs, baked in a creamy garlic parmesan sauce.

- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese (for sauce)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cut a pocket into each chicken breast.
- Mix mozzarella, parmesan, basil, and oregano in a bowl.
- Stuff each chicken breast with cheese mixture.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Sear chicken for 2-3 minutes per side until golden.
- Remove chicken and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté garlic for 30 seconds.
- Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, stir.
- Add parmesan, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 2 minutes.
- Place chicken in baking dish, pour sauce over it.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).
Notes
- Use a meat thermometer to check doneness.
- Let chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- Substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for lighter version.
