Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese (for sauce)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut a pocket into each chicken breast.
  3. Mix mozzarella, parmesan, basil, and oregano in a bowl.
  4. Stuff each chicken breast with cheese mixture.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  6. Sear chicken for 2-3 minutes per side until golden.
  7. Remove chicken and set aside.
  8. In the same skillet, sauté garlic for 30 seconds.
  9. Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, stir.
  10. Add parmesan, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 2 minutes.
  11. Place chicken in baking dish, pour sauce over it.
  12. Bake for 20-25 minutes until chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).
