- 8 mozzarella string cheese sticks
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Oil for frying
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce
- 1/4 cup ranch dressing
Instructions
- Cut mozzarella sticks in half crosswise.
- Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Dredge each mozzarella stick in flour, then dip in egg, and coat with breadcrumb mixture.
- Freeze coated mozzarella sticks for 30 minutes to set.
- Heat oil in a deep pan to 375°F (190°C).
- Fry mozzarella sticks for 1-2 minutes until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
- Serve immediately with marinara sauce and ranch dressing.
Notes
- Freezing prevents the cheese from melting too quickly.
- Use a thermometer to maintain oil temperature.
- Avoid overcrowding the pan while frying.
