Ingredients

  • 8 mozzarella string cheese sticks
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce
  • 1/4 cup ranch dressing

Instructions

  1. Cut mozzarella sticks in half crosswise.
  2. Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Dredge each mozzarella stick in flour, then dip in egg, and coat with breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Freeze coated mozzarella sticks for 30 minutes to set.
  5. Heat oil in a deep pan to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Fry mozzarella sticks for 1-2 minutes until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
