A delicious gingerbread cookie shaped like a brave little character.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1 tablespoon ground ginger
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar.
- Add molasses and egg, mixing well.
- In another bowl, combine flour, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until combined.
- Roll out the dough and cut it into gingerbread shapes.
- Place on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Let cool before decorating.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container to keep fresh.
- You can use royal icing for decoration.
- Chill the dough for easier handling.
