Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar.
  3. Add molasses and egg, mixing well.
  4. In another bowl, combine flour, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until combined.
  6. Roll out the dough and cut it into gingerbread shapes.
  7. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  8. Let cool before decorating.
