Ingredients

- 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 lb potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Boil potatoes until tender, about 15 minutes.
- Drain potatoes and mash with milk, butter, cheese, salt, and pepper.
- Heat butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add steak bites, garlic, salt, and pepper. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side.
- Serve steak bites over mashed potatoes.
Notes
- For best results, let the steak sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes before cooking.
- Adjust seasoning to taste.
