Ingredients

- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup long-grain white rice
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Season chicken with salt, pepper, and thyme.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet and cook chicken until golden (5-6 mins per side). Remove and set aside.
- Melt butter in the same skillet, add garlic, and sauté for 30 seconds.
- Add rice and stir to coat with butter.
- Pour in chicken broth, bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low.
- Return chicken to skillet, cover, and simmer for 18-20 mins.
- Remove from heat, sprinkle parmesan, and let rest for 5 mins before serving.
Notes
- Use freshly grated parmesan for best flavor.
- Adjust broth quantity if using brown rice.
- Let rice sit covered for fluffier texture.
