  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Stir in cocoa powder and red food coloring.
  4. Gradually add flour and salt, mixing until just combined.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
  6. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla until smooth.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of cream cheese mixture over the brownie batter and swirl with a knife.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  9. Cool completely before cutting into squares.
