- 1 jar (16 oz) dill pickles, sliced
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup cornmeal
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Drain the pickles and pat them dry with paper towels.
- In a shallow bowl, mix the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, and salt.
- In another bowl, pour the buttermilk.
- In a third bowl, add the cornmeal.
- Dip each pickle slice into the flour mixture, then into the buttermilk, and finally into the cornmeal, ensuring they are well-coated.
- In a large skillet, heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot.
- Fry the pickles in batches for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels.
- Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
