Crispy fried okra made in an air fryer for a healthier twist.
Ingredients

- 1 pound okra, sliced
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, mix buttermilk, salt, black pepper, and paprika.
- Dip the sliced okra into the buttermilk mixture.
- Coat the okra in cornmeal.
- Place the coated okra in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
- Remove and serve hot.
Notes
- For extra crunch, spray okra with cooking oil before air frying.
