Description

A delicious and easy overnight French toast casserole with fruit.


Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of French bread, cubed
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Place the cubed bread in the dish.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the bread.
  5. Add mixed berries on top.
  6. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
  7. In the morning, preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Drizzle with maple syrup before serving.

Notes

  • Use stale bread for better texture.
