Description
Crispy and delicious air fryer french fries made with just a few simple ingredients. Perfectly seasoned and healthier than traditional fries!
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 medium potatoes (Russet or Yukon Gold recommended)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.
- Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch, then drain and pat dry with a kitchen towel.
- In a large bowl, toss the potato strips with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika until evenly coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Place the potato strips in the air fryer basket in a single layer. You may need to do this in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
- Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the fries are golden brown and crispy.
- Once cooked, remove the fries from the air fryer and garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve hot.
Notes
- For extra crispy fries, make sure not to overcrowd the air fryer basket.
- You can experiment with different seasonings like cayenne pepper or Italian herbs for added flavor.
- Leftover fries can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge and reheated in the air fryer for a few minutes.
