Description

A rich and creamy mac & cheese made with four types of cheese for maximum flavor.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz elbow macaroni
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded gouda cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp paprika (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  3. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Gradually pour in milk while whisking continuously.
  5. Cook until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.
  6. Reduce heat and stir in cheddar, mozzarella, gouda, and parmesan cheeses until melted.
  7. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  8. Add cooked macaroni and stir until well coated.
  9. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use freshly grated cheese for better melting.
