Ingredients

  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 2 tbsp coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 24 ladyfinger cookies
  • 8 oz mascarpone cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • Dark chocolate shavings (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix coffee and coffee liqueur in a shallow bowl.
  2. Dip each ladyfinger briefly into the coffee mixture and place at the bottom of dessert cups.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat mascarpone, heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Spoon half the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
  5. Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and mascarpone.
  6. Chill for at least 2 hours.
  7. Dust with cocoa powder and garnish with chocolate shavings before serving.

Notes

  • Use decaf coffee if preferred.
  • Replace coffee liqueur with vanilla syrup for alcohol-free version.
