- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 8 lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
- 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add diced onion and minced garlic. Cook until softened.
- Transfer beef mixture to the crockpot.
- Add crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, chicken broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Stir well, cover, and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
- Add broken lasagna noodles and cook for an additional 30 minutes.
- Serve hot with dollops of ricotta, shredded mozzarella, and fresh basil.
Notes
- Use gluten-free lasagna noodles if needed.
- For extra richness, stir in 1/4 cup heavy cream before serving.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
