Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced into thin strips
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the chicken with soy sauce and cornstarch. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the chicken and cook until browned, about 4-5 minutes. Remove from the pan.
  4. In the same pan, add bell pepper, broccoli, and carrot. Stir fry for 3-4 minutes.
  5. Add garlic and ginger, cook for 1 minute.
  6. Return the chicken to the pan. Add hoisin sauce and sesame oil. Stir well to combine.
  7. Cook for another 2 minutes until everything is heated through.
  8. Serve hot over rice or noodles.

Notes

  • You can substitute chicken with beef or tofu.
  • Add more vegetables like mushrooms or snap peas if desired.
  • Adjust the amount of soy sauce and hoisin sauce to taste.
