Description

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pound chicken breasts to an even thickness.
  3. Season chicken with salt and pepper.
  4. Dredge chicken in flour, dip in beaten egg, then coat with breadcrumb-Parmesan mixture.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  6. Cook chicken until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  7. Place chicken in a baking dish.
  8. Top each piece with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese melts and chicken cooks through.

Notes
